How our "no win, no fee" grant writing service works

To make our platform as affordable as possible, we only charge our 2% fee on any grants you win.

This applies to all grants you win through writing with our AI grant writer. We require a specific agreement for each application you use our AI grant writer for.

This means you can use our AI grant writer to search for grants and check your eligibility for free.

FAQs

What if I don't win the grant?

You don't pay us anything. We only charge our 2% fee on any grants you win.

What if I find a grant from your grant search, but don't use your AI grant writer?

You don't pay us anything. We only charge our 2% fee on any grants you win through writing with our AI grant writer.

What if I need a custom contract or SLA?

We offer an enterprise plan for organisations that need a specific contract, custom legal arrangements or a fixed annual fee for budgeting.

What if I refuse the grant after it has been awarded? Do I still have to pay the 2% fee?

No. You only pay the 2% fee if you accept the grant. If you refuse the grant, you don't have to pay us anything.

How will you know if I win a grant? What if I just don't tell you?

It saves everyone a lot of hassle if you tell us directly on the platform by marking the grant as successful, but we also check publically available databases of grants (e.g. 360Giving), and we periodically check accounts submitted to the Charity Commission.

How do I pay the 2% fee?

You can pay the 2% fee by bank transfer, credit card or debit card. We will send you an invoice for the fee, which you can pay online.

What if I need help getting started with grants?

We offer a course on how to think about grant applications, where to start, what information to gather and how to write a successful grant application. Contact us for more information.

Do you use my data for anything other than grant writing?

We only use your data for the purpose of writing grants. You are the owner of your data and we don't sell your data to third parties. We use the paid versions of the AI language models, so your data is not used to train future models.

Can I put the 2% into my budget for a grant application?

Probably not. Most funders don't allow you to put the cost of grant writing through the grant application, because it's considered a retrospective expense. You can check with the funder to see if they will allow it.

How should I describe this fee in my annual accounts?

You shouldn't put this as a cost against the grant awarded, nor should you classify it as fundraising (as we are not soliciting money on your behalf, we are not treated as fundraisers). You should check with your accountant, but we would recommend 'software costs' or 'training'.

Can I use this platform if I am not a registered charity?

Yes, you can use our platform if you are not a registered charity. Some funders only fund registered charities, but many funders also fund social enterprises, community interest companies and other types of organisations. If you are a registered charity, we can also find your information from the Charity Commission database to help you write your grant application.

Do you guarantee that my grant application will be successful?

No. That's why we only charge our 2% fee on any grants you win.

Can I edit the grant application after it has been written?

Yes. You can edit the grant application yourself, or you can use our AI editor to help you do this more quickly.

How do I submit the grant application?

When you've finished editing, you can download the grant application as a Word document or PDF. You can then submit the grant application to the funder in the way they specify. Some funders require you to submit the grant application online, while others require you to send it by post. You can't submit the grant application through our platform directly.

Can I use this platform if I am not based in the UK?

Yes. You can use our platform if you are not based in the UK, though currently most of the grants in our database are for UK-based organisations.

Can I add other people from my organisation to help write the grant?

Yes. You can add other people from your organisation to help write the grant. You can also add other people to review the grant before it is submitted. You can add as many people as you like.

Can I add my own grants, or can I only use those in your database?

You can add your own grants to the platform. You can also use our AI grant writer to write grants for these. Either contact us, or use our AI tools to add them yourself.

Can I try it out before signing any contract?

Yes. You don't have to sign a contract to use our platform. You can try it out for free to see if it works for you. If you like the first draft of the grant application, you can then sign a contract to submit the application.

Can I see the contract I will need to sign on the platform?

Yes. You can see the template contract you will need to sign below.
