We would like to run a hands-on volunteering programme for children and young people aged eight to 16, to teach them skills to improve their own life chances, as well as support the community.

Grant to Kentish Town City Farm to support the organisation through COVID19

A one-off, unrestricted grant of £10,350, equivalent to one regular quarterly payment for the organisation’s current grant.

Grant to Kentish Town City Farm Ltd

To cover the loss of income as the Community Farm is now not able to charge for certain activities (e.g pony rides), not open for public donations, loss of income from fundraising (May Day fundraiser), no group parties allowed and can't furlough all staff as need staff to care for animals.

Kentish Town City Farm - Covid19 Charity Fund

The group will use the funding to deliver gardening and food growing activities. This will bring people together for positive social activities and improve well-being.

Kentish Town City Farm Garden Project

We want to support more local people with additional needs to volunteer in animal care and gardening to reduce isolation and learn skills.

Grant to Supported Farm Volunteers

£82,800 over two further and final years (£41,400 x 2) towards the salary and project costs of a full-time Education Officer.

We want to extend the lessons we give to young people and their families to learn about cooking healthy meals on a restricted budget.

Main Grants award

£2,600(6.5 days @ £400 per day) to provide an eco-audit.

Eco audit to Kentish Town City Farm Ltd

This project will work with young people on a one-to-one basis, developing action plans through which they can improve their skills and future chances of finding employment.

Young Farmers Passport Project

Help us run Young Farmer sessions for children from the local estates, teaching them about farming, gardening and conservation.

The project will teach life skills to disadvantaged young people, improving their chances of educational & employment attainment.

£118,300 over 3 years (£38,850, £39,450, £40,000) for the salary of a full-time Education Officer, together with the associated project running costs.

The  charity is an educational/recreational project providing services covering environmental and community education/sports and recreation/play and youth work/elderly and special needs
