This funding is for Calthorpe to transform a community food bank to a community food hub by focusing on bringing younger and older people together - an intergenerational approach.

Calthorpe Community Garden

The funding will be used to establish a weekly support session for those who are suffering from fear anxiety or depression as a result of the Covid pandemic. The project aims to help prevent people's depression and anxiety developing into seriously debilitating illness and helping them to live happier more fulfilled lives.

Grant to Calthorpe Community Garden

"The fund aims to:1) To reduce closures of essential charities that provide essential services to vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 crisis by ensuring they have the financial resources to operate, thereby reducing the burden on public services.2) To ensure essential services are provided to vulnerable people, both in the short and long term through increased community support through the work of charitable organisations."

Coronavirus Community Support Fund

This funding will improve and upgrade landscaping in specific areas of our community garden that are overgrown and underused and reinstate it's beauty and tranquillity to encourage more people to enjoy the distinct character of the space.

Main Grants award

The funding is will enable our organisation to provide a food bank collection/delivery hub providing food parcels as well as preparation of cooked food to be distributed via a network of community centres providing support for vulnerable people living in South Camden.

Funding to pay for a new cargo bike to allow the organisation to deliver food, essentials and other items to members who are self isolating.

Grant to Calthorpe community garden

Calthorpe Project is an open garden and community hub that brings people from all walks of life together in Camden to enjoy the open space and recreational facilities. The award was used to purchase compost, seeds and tools to enable them to deliver food growing sessions with local children over the summer months.

Grant to Calthorpe Project Community Garden

The project will fund 2 coach trips for service users and local residents on nearby housing estates to attend the Harvest Festival in Shooters Hill.

SHAF grant to Calthorpe Project

£260,100 over five years (£50,300; £51,300; £52,100; £52,900; £53,500) for the salary of a full-time Volunteer Manager and related project costs.

Community Gardening and Food Growing for Older People

The aim of this project is to continue to provide a safe outdoor natural play opportunities for children under the age of 14 and their families. The weekend project will provide families with access to nature.

Weekend Families Project

This project will run upcycling workshops where local people who are not in employment can gain new skills and reduce isolation.

Community upcycling skills training

Funds for activities & upkeep for our garden will ensure we can continue to benefit local young people with our safe, supervised open space

The project aims to manage a colony of bees by replacing and upgrading the equipment which is in poor condition.
